Kalie Shanahan

Favourite Wod: Grace

Favourite Lift: Clean

Kalie grew up in Barrie Ontario, playing soccer, basketball, flag football, and was also a cheerleader. She always knew she wanted to have a career in health and fitness. She completed a co-op in high school at a local gym where she continued to work after she graduated.

After a few years working outside of the health and fitness industry, and having her first child, she became a CanFit Pro Certified Personal Trainer.

Kalie’s motivation stems from wanting people to live their highest quality life in and out of the gym. In 2012, Kalie joined a local Crossfit gym. Turning the focus of her own training from aesthetic to strength and performance. Kalie’s outlook on training and on life completely transformed, instead of chasing the “perfect body” she started celebrating her body for the things it could do.

In 2016 Kalie competed in Olympic Weightlifting at the National Level, and took home a bronze medal at the CPU Ontario Powerlifting Championships.

Kalie has been been coaching Crossfit, Powerlifting, and Weightlifting now for over a year. She is passionate about helping people move better, become faster, stronger, and finding their true potential through fitness.

Kalie’s goal as a coach is to empower people to take their bodies to new levels of fitness, set big goals, and accomplish them.
